As an Entrepreneur, we sometimes get caught up doing things that are just not that profitable because lets face it, the main reason we’re in the game of Entrepreneurship in the first place is to make money, LOTS of money.
Often times, we fall into the trap of making our products, services or whatever as perfect as they could potentially be. Although that is a good thing to focus, our business will not grow if we fail to make the initial sales.
As an example, think of our business as vehicle, lets say a car.
So we’re driving this “car” on the road of entrepreneurship and I’ll have to say that the road of entrepreneurship it is a long friggin’ trip.
We will need to constantly refuel our car to keep going on the trip. You wouldn’t want to be stopped on the middle of the road because you ran out of gas where there is no gas station nearby, right?
Of course you can always get out and ask the other car drivers on the road for help but we’d like to avoid resulting into that if possible, as help does not come often when you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere. You’ll probably end up waiting for a heck of a long time.
In business, your car fuel is your sales.
You will need to consistently make sales so that your business can keep on running to be able to power through the long trip without the risk of “running out of gas” in the middle of nowhere.
Focus On Income Producing Activities
One thing that I’ve finally realized is that, you’ll need to switch your focus to Income Producing Activities.
Ask yourself, what is the sole activity you could do to bring your business the fastest return for your work? What I mean by fastest return is, how fast can you generate sales for the littlest amount of work?
Again, the keyword here is “Income Producing Activities“.
If you still can’t figure out what the Income Producing Activities are, then I’ll give you a hint.
- Connecting with potential prospects.
- Find out how your products can help your customers achieve THEIR goals.
- ASK if they would be interested in your products.
- Make the sale.
Yes whether you like it or not, you’ll HAVE to connect with your potential customers. You cannot rely on your products to sell themselves, which many of us Entrepreneurs fall trap to.
One of the mistakes I made was to just focus too much on marketing my products.
Although it did got me help ATTRACT potential customers to FIND ME instead of me chasing after them, which have really revolutionized the way that I market my products, my inability to sell hindered the progress of my business.
This method is called Attraction Marketing and it is the best form of marketing used by 6 and 7 figures Internet Entrepreneurs. I finally have the experience to share about what it is like and how it took my Internet Marketing to a whole-nother level. But again, that is not the point I am trying to make today.
But if you’re serious about your business, I will be writing a dedicated post covering Attraction Marketing within the next few days, so make sure you enter your email in the box to the top right for my latest blog post updates because you will NOT want to miss the info or have your competitors get their hands on them first.
Social Media: Income Producing Activities On Steroids
Nowadays making sales and generating income is much easier than many would think, especially if you’re in home business industry.
Through the use of Social Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and many others, finding targeted leads for your business is as simple as looking up for people on Facebook who publicly declared their interest in the products or services related to what you have to offer.
Of course, figuring out how to find these people can be a bit daunting, especially if you’re not that tech savvy. But even if you do know how to sort them out by their interest, how should you go about starting a genuine conversation with them?
Well, today might just be your lucky day then.
